About Me
Hi everyone!
My name is Rebecca Snyder. I grew up in Clarksville, Maryland, which is halfway between Washington, DC and Baltimore. In Spring of 2021, I graduated with my BS in Dietetics and a minor in Health Promotion from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Now, I am working on my Masters of Public Health in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. This blog is an outlet to talk mainly about the two topics that I am most passionate about: healthy eating and sustainability with other topics related to health and wellness sprinkled in as well!
My interest in healthy eating began my freshman year of high school. In health class, we were assigned a project designed to help us make a healthy change in our lives, and I chose to do my project on eating a healthier diet. I felt better, lost fifteen pounds, and was able to keep it up long after the project ended! Fast forward to my senior year of high school, and a few of my friends had gone vegan. This was confusing to me, so I asked them why and was given documentaries to watch. I already cared about nutrition, so the ones that were specifically about the health benefits of a plant-based diet really spoke to me.
However, the documentary with the biggest impact was Cowspiracy, a documentary about the environmental impact of the animal agriculture industry. I realized that if I vote with my dollars, I don’t want to be supporting an industry that is so harmful to the planet. This documentary not only led me to go vegan, but also opened my eyes to how much I care about sustainability.

Now I’ve been vegan for over three and a half years, and I’m so excited to share some of what I’ve learned and my favorites with all of you! Some content you can expect are nutrition tips, recipe reviews, documenting some new experiences, sustainable product reviews, restaurants’ vegan option reviews, and more!
